This post is based on my speculations, and I can’t be 100% sure about where this shawl came from - I don’t have a photoproof. So just listen to me making the case))) Everyone knows that Katie’s mom used to work (or still working) for famous Irish designer Lainey Keogh. And Katie’s always saying that she loves wearing knitwear, especially the ones from Lainey, that she bought her cashmere coat with one of her serious paychecks and that Lainey Keogh’s clothes are the best medicine from bad mood. As a proof I’d like to show you the picture of this coat (it costs 1695 pounds))). As you can see, the yarn and the knit patters are similar. And you can tell that Katie loves this shawl very much - she can be seen wearing it at lots of pictures, since 2007 - photoshoots, Save Tara protest, London Expo 2010 etc. So I think that there can be two possibilities - that Katie bought this shawl from Lainey Keogh’s store or that Katie’s mom, who no doubt knows this pattern, knitted it for her.

И Кейти во многих интервью говорила, что очень любит вязанные вещи, в том числе и от Лейни, что на один из первых гонораров купила ее кашемировое пальто и вообще - одежда этого бренда для Кейти проверенное лекарство от плохого настроения. ля подтверждения моей теории могу предоставить вот эту фотографию кашемирового пальто (и интернете оно стоит 1695.00 фунтов))). Как видно по фотографиям, вязка и цвет ниток очень похожие, потому я все же склонна считать, что шаль именно от Лейни. Причем видно, что Кейти ее очень любит - в ней ее можно увидеть и на фотографиях 2007 года, и на фотографиях 2009-2010 (записи с ЛондонЭкспо и т.д.). Хотя есть вероятность и того, что шаль связала мама Кейти - она ведь именно этим и занимается профессионально))

The TAG Heuer Monaco (originally Heuer Monaco) is a series of automatic chronograph wristwatch originally introduced by Heuer in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix. The Monaco was revolutionary for being the first automatic as well as the first square cased chronograph. The Hollywood film star Steve McQueen used the watch to accessorize his character in the 1971 film Le Mans. In the decades after his death the use of film stills has made the watch synonymous with McQueen. Although it was discontinued in the mid-1970s, the Monaco was reissued with a new design in 1998 and was reintroduced again with an entirely new mechanisms in 2003 in response to McQueen’s increasing popularity.

As far as I can tell, Katie owns the original vintage chronograph - the logo on this ones are a bit lower then on the new ones, and there are still no ‘TAG’ part on it. Katie used to wear it all the time, in her every day life and for photoshoots. She leaved them at home only for black tie events, which demand an evening gown and expensive jewelry.

In her InStyle interwiev Katie said that she’d bought this boots on ebay and payed a fortune for it, because they don’t make it anymore. It’s true - now you can find them only in black leather and  red, yellow or natural canvas colors. This model can only be found on ebay and similar websites or in thrift shops (if you’re really lucky))

New (in black leather) or used (in croc) can be found for about 450-495 pounds.

Katie loves her unique boots, call them sex in a shoe and wears them all the time (to InStyle’s Best Of British Talent Party on January 25, 2011, TV Choice Awards - September 6, 2010, both Magnus Hastings’ and Tessa Hallman’s photoshoots).

This brand has great selection of T-shirts with vintage prints, which are usually really soft and comfortable and made from “pre-worn” fabrics. These boots are very popular - pretty, classicaly urban and also comfortable. Lots of celebrities wear them, for example Dianna Agron. Also they are usually worn on bare feet (the way Katie wears them sometimes) and this has to be the proof that these boots are really comfy))
Katie owns them for a long time - either she had several pairs over the years, or she wears them at least since 2007) She wore them to Save Tara event and Electric Picnic festival in 2007, and also you can see them on the various Merlin behind-the-scenes photos and paparazzi shots from LAX taken last summer (when Katie came to US for the SDCC).

I don’t have any proof, so it’s just my speculations, but I believe that this scarf was knitted by Katie’s mom. It’s definitely handmade (you can see it even at this pictures). Katie says that her mom once made knitted clothes for Irish designer Lainey Keogh and still makes her (Katie) scarves, hats and gloves which she loves to wear.  

The scarf is really cute (and, judging from the state it’s in on Tessa Hallman’s photoshoot pictures, also one of Katie’s favorites). I knitted myself the similar one last winter (yes, I’m pathetic like that)))) 

Никаких подтверждений тому нету, но я думаю, что этот шарф Кейти связала ее мама - вязка явно ручная, это видно даже на фотографиях, а Кейти говорила, что ее мама часто вяжет ей разные вещи, которые она с удовольствием носит. Yeah, nothing too exiting, everyone knows Ugg boots. But still, I have to mention them just for the sake of having the full style guide)

Katie, as many other actresses who constantly have to wait for the shooting of a new scene, wears Ugg boots a lot. And one of the Merlin stylists onсe said that she sometimes wears them even while shooting a scene, if they don’t shoot the bottom of morgana’s dress. These two pictures were taken at almost the same time, so this is definitely the same pair of boots - on the walk with Jonathan and at the photoshoot.

На самом деле ничего особенно сложного здесь нет, и так понятно, что угги. Но тем не менее, мы ведь собираем полную коллекцию)))

Кейти, как и многие актрисы, которым постоянно приходится ждать съемок следующей сцены, очень часто носит угги на съемках и стилист Мерлина в каком-то из интервью говорила, что она часто в них и в кадре, когда Моргану не снимают во весь рост. Эти две фотографии сделаны приблизительно в одно и то же время, потому сапожки явно одни и те же - и на прогулке с Джонатаном, и на фотосессии)

Probably, one of the most talked about item in Katie’s wardrobe. It’;s also one of the most popular street style items. So, when I’ve just started my style guide back in the summer of 2011, I didn’t want my first post to be about them, ‘cause it’d be too predictable))

Such a pity that Katie wears these boots so rarely. She wore them to the interview on T4 (back in 2009), also for this photoshoot and for the opening of Charlies Restaurant and Bar in 2011. On these pictures you can see that the boots are pretty worn down, so she’s wearing them quite often in her everyday life. 

The price - on official Vivienne Westwood website this boots cost 455 euros, but you can find them on ebay - used or new - a bit cheaper.

Самый, наверное, обсуждаемый элемент гардероба Кейти. Собственно, они уже сто лет как стали классикой уличного стиля. Потому и не хотелось начинать с них наши гардеробные изыскания, слишком уж банально.

К сожалению, Кейти в этих сапогах ходит редко, и, кроме давнего появления на одном из ток-шоу и этой фотосессии, больше в них замечена не была. Хотя это вполне понятно - на этих фотографиях хорошо видно, что сапожки уже довольно поношенные, видимо, довольно часто носились в повседневной жизни. 

Стоимость сапог: в официальном онлайн магазине Вивьен Вествуд - 455 евро, на ebay встречаются самые разнообразные, я когда-то видела даже за 80 фунтов (уже ношенные, конечно).
